Welcome to Nurture Cottage, where we provide a nurturing environment for children and families to engage in meaningful learning experiences at our home in Goulburn.
Our neuro-affirming space is inclusive and tailored to support the unique needs of each child. Through our play-based, open-ended, and child-led approach, children are encouraged to freely explore, create, and learn with the guidance of our specialised team.
Through play, children engage in various forms of communication, such as speaking, listening, using nonverbal cues, and taking turns. Play also allows children to practice and experiment with language in a low-stakes environment, which helps them build confidence in their communication abilities.
By observing and interacting with others during play, children learn how to convey their thoughts and emotions effectively, and develop important social skills such as cooperation and empathy.
